For the December RMC, I have made two background images. You can use either one or both of them and you can use all, or any small part of them that you might want to zoom in on.
"RMC-022-Infinity.jpg" is an Infinite Terrain that goes from the grass right at ground level all the way out to the distant hills and beyond. It also looks like there is a nasty storm brewing in the west.
"RMC-022-Alien.jpg" is an alien landscape for you to drop whatever you want into, whether it's a green-skinned babe, a hovering space ship, a crazy blue scaly pet, all three or none of the above - it's up to you!
Both images are 4000 x 2162 x 300 pixels per inch.

The year is 1755 anno domini.
On a small plateau, high in the Swiss Alps, there is an annual event known
with terror by the local villagers as
The Reaping.
A black space faring destroyer completely out of character to these surroundings, skims the treetops as it approaches an old cathedral. Those who see it scream and run but it ignores them as a single creature effortlessly floats down to ground level. That creature has an appointment inside; the same annual appointment it has had since the cathedral was first built two centuries earlier.
It skims along the central aisle, past rows of unused seats and approaches the only monk brave or mad enough look directly at it and even engage it in conversation.
"Have you brought me the right one this time, servant?"
"Yes m'lord. She is waiting in your chamber."
In another lightless room sits a young girl. She has been kept drugged and unconscious but today, they have revived her. She slowly climbs to her feet and looks around.
"Hello? Is anyone there? Where am I? Why are you keeping me here?"
There is only silence but after a moment at the far end of this room, a door opens just long enough for something very strange to be let in. As the door closes again enclosing her in utter darkness, something slips past her but she can't quite make out what it is.
Then, as her eyes adjust to the blackness once more she sees....
